These dudes look like ladies! What gives?
The inspiration for my work came from experimenting with fabulousness,
gorgeousness, and all that on the high holy day of drag, .Halloween.
Upon discovering what gorgeous looked like the very first year, I decided to share it with the world. I started making New Year's cards from the precious moments caught on camera during the Halloween festivities. It's a way to make the holiday season last longer, and it gives a busy girl an extra week to spread her joy. These cards soon became collector items for the select few on the recipient list. They are now a highly anticipated item when the New Year rolls around.
Why babble on about this?
Well, you see, these acts of being creative, both physically and materially inspired
me to expand my work to include others who aren't affraid to kick up their heels,
put on a face, and work it for the camera. And work it they do! They aren't your
typical divas, no indeed. These are ladies...I use the term loosely...who know
how to work hard and play hard and look fabulous while they're at it.
How can I get my hands on these works of gorgeous gals?
Great question! Goto my Online Order Page to purchase images
from my show at Fair Trade Coffee in downtown Madison. All prints are $50 unframed.
A card line with all these delicious "ladies" is
in the works!
Will my purchase go to a good cause?
Indeed it will! I am riding 300 miles in 4 days for ACT6,
The Wiscosnin AIDS Ride. All proceeds from the sale of these photos will be pledged to sponsor
me on the ride.
I have been the photographer and a sponsor of the AIDS Ride for the last 4 ACT
Rides through my Internet Consulting and Photography business Stick People Productions.
This year I'm riding! Along with over 120 riders, I will attempt to ride a bicycle
300 miles in 4 days in August. It promises to be a little more difficult than
putting on heels and make-up! I need to raise at least $1,200 so I'm soliciting.
Can you spare a girl some change?
