About
Photography has been a passion since
the mid-80's at which time I completed several photography courses
at the Kansas City Art Institute, Kansas City, Missouri. After a hiatus while operating a successful earth friendly home products business, I picked up my camera again in 2003 and rediscovered the joy of photography. I also have a passion for international travel and learning about different cultures. Meeting and photographing people is high on my list of things especially for portrait, events, editorial work and documentary projects.
I have a degree in Computer Information Systems and worked as a end-user computing specialist and market research analyst for a major U.S. corporation. In 1995, I opened a natural products retail store and e-commerce business, which continues operation after selling it in 2002. After selling the store, I took off on a 6 month backpacking adventure to Europe. It opened my eyes to the world, the diversity of people and cultures and put a bad case of wanderlust in me which has taken me to over 30 counties.
